Overview
Loop Lounge Chair is a compact lounge chair that combines a flowing wood frame with a soft, seamless seat. The chair is designed for relaxed reading or conversation corners, where you can sink in, lean back, and feel supported without a bulky footprint.
Soft sculpted shell
A single, gently curved seat and back surface supports different sitting positions, from upright to lounging.
Continuous side frame
The bent-wood sides act as base, leg, and armrest in one gesture, reducing visual clutter.
Floating arm pads
Padded tops on the arms add comfort for elbows and create a light “floating” detail over the wood.
Concept
The idea was to draw a continuous “loop” around the sitter: the wood sides wrap from base to arm, while the seat shell hangs like a soft hammock in between. The form aims to feel warm and familiar like a piece of wooden furniture, but with a softer, more sculpted profile.
Materials & Finish
The frame is imagined in warm, medium-tone wood with visible grain, paired with a light fabric or leather upholstery. The contrast between the solid wood and the soft, matte surface of the seat highlights the “hard + soft” pairing that defines the chair.
